Session Flow 

The session flow in both coaching sessions was interspersed with Dr. Legge’s encouragement and his expert questions and responses and challenges such as “Give me a two-minute intro to a speech”.  I realized what comes naturally to me and also what needs to be better developed.   I appreciated the encouragement to use personal stories and to integrate these into three to five key points.  I learned that public speaking can take many forms and that I am quite comfortable in College / University guest lectures and also in crowds (200-300 Senior Executives) as a panelist.

Training Focus 

My training focus will be to develop my clarity and delivery in these sessions that are already in my current work. Better understanding my audience will be an important baseline for this.  My biggest challenges lie in preparing for keynotes as a single presenter and speeches of 15 – 45 (or even 60) minutes.  I definitely have more questions about how to best prepare for these and want to commit to a learning agenda to focus on these goals.
