Order of british columbia – 2008 recipient
The Order of British Columbia is the province’s highest honour for outstanding achievement. Since the Order was first introduced in 1989, 274 people have received the award.
Mr. Peter Legge has created impressive results everywhere he has devoted his energies – in business, in leading community initiatives, and in charity fundraising.
He built Canada Wide Media Limited into Western Canada’s largest independent magazine publisher, with 45 magazines, employing more than 130 British Columbians. He has devoted a great deal of time and energy to community initiatives, chairing or serving on the boards of a large number of community agencies.
Considered Canada’s top public speaker, Mr. Legge is sought after to host charity events. He is one of 18 ambassadors to the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

St. Johns Ambulance - 2006
Promoted to the position of Commander for his ongoing support of the organization.
National Speakers Association - 2005
Presented with the Nido Qubein Philanthropic award. First Canadian to receive this honour.
Rotary International - 2005
Presented with his third Paul Harris Fellow Award for his contribution to Rotary. This is the highest honour in Rotary – Peter is a non Rotarian
Council of Governors - Vancouver Board of Trade - 2004
Appointed as a Governor to the Vancouver Board of Trade in recognition of his tenure as Chair of the Board.
Legacy Leadership Award - 2004
Presented by the Tri-Cities to someone who is visionary, inspirational, collaborative, results focused and a community leader. Peter Legge was the first recipient of this award.

The City of Coquitlam named this library after Peter in recognition of his continuing commitment to the community.
Canadian Professional Sales Association - 2003

Lifetime Achievement Award - 2001
Given the Lifetime Achievement Award, the Western Magazine Foundation’s highest honour, in recognition of 25 years in the magazine publishing industry.
The Royal Westminster Regiment - 2001
Appointed Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel by the Honourable Art Eggleton, Minister of National Defence (appointment was for a three Year term)

Speakers Roundtable - 2000
Inducted into the invitation-only society whose mission it is to advance the speaking profession. Peter shares this honour with only 19 other professional speakers in the world
C.P.A.E. – Speaker Hall of Fame - 1998
The first Canadian to be inducted into the Council of Peers Award of Excellence – Speaker Hall of Fame. This is the highest and most prestigious award given by the National Speakers Association.
Order of The Red Cross - 1997
In recognition of Peter’s commitment and outstanding contributions to the Canadian Red Cross Humanitarian Principles, he was made a member of the Order of the Red Cross.
