(TEMPE, Ariz. 2005) The National Speakers Association (NSA), the leading organization for professional speakers, honored Peter Legge with the Nido Qubein Philanthropist of the Year Award at NSA’s 2005 Convention, July 9-12, in Atlanta, Ga.

The Nido Qubein Philanthropist of the Year Award is presented annually by the NSA Foundation to honor individuals who have made a significant contribution in our world by being examples of philanthropy and stewardship. The awards purpose is to acknowledge those individuals inside and outside of the National Speakers Association who demonstrate the power of giving for the sake of giving with no expectation of getting anything in return. Nido Qubein, CSP, CPAE, is the founder and chairman emeritus of the NSA Foundation and is dedicated to further this and other programs designed to help and educate people.

"It is an incredible honor for me to receive the Nido Qubein Philanthropic Award," says Legge. "Raising money and awareness for a variety of deserving charities and organizations has been, and remains, a lifelong passion for me. But I am particularly proud to be recognized by the National Speakers Association for serving my city and country. For me and my family, there is no greater calling."
